I am 100% satisfied with this heater so far.

- Quiet: It's absolutely silent. When I had the heater set to automatic thermostat, I never heard it come on, I would only feel the warmth.
- Warmth: Good lord this little thing puts out a lot of heat! 98% of the time I use it on low.
- Size: It's very small. Perfect for the office environment.
- Settings: The thermostat setting actually works. I've only used it once but I do recall that I began feeling chilled then all of a sudden I felt the warmth of the heater kick in. Granted, I'd read the bad reviews about the setting so I had it up to 80 to make sure it would come on at all.

I've had this heater for about a month now and couldn't be happier.

Great heater! This is my third purchase of this model and its predecessor in the last ten years. A single button controls all functions. It has digital settings from 60 to 80 degrees in 5 degree increments. Also has high and low heater and fan settings. The fan is QUIET!!! You hardly know it is running. Over the years I have owned various electric heaters. This is by far the best small heater I have ever owned. Did I mention it is quiet you hardly know it is running. My daughter bought one about 10 years ago to heat her small a apartment at college. It will keep a 15 X 15 room warm. Have had 0 problems and all 3 are still in use.

I bought a Holmes HFH2986-U Whisper Quiet Power Heater from Amazon. It arrived in a couple of days. I didn't think it worked very well. The thermostat in my apartment said 62 degrees. I set the space heater to 70 and then 75 and auto, but it would go on for two minutes and then off for eight. One night I just set it manually on high so that it would not go off. It was still working when I got up at 3:30 a.m., but when I got up in the morning, it was off. I turned it on again, something glowed red, I smelled that "something electrical is burning" smell, and it went off. Clearly, the item was defective. At least the automatic turn-off worked. I am now trying to return it. That isn't working well, either. I thought UPS would come for it yesterday (11/3), but it is now 6:30 p.m. on 11/4, and they still have not come. I am sure they will come and I will get a refund. I subsequently bought a Vornado Whole Room Heater from a hardware store. It cost twice as much, but it is terrific. It heats my whole apartment very quietly and effectively.
